Back by popular demand!

Now in its 18th year, BetterWork Media Group’s (BMG) Breakfast Club series continues connecting leaders over breakfast to strengthen the link between learning and development and business strategy.

Last year, we introduced a new format to this popular series hosted Chief Learning Officer and Talent Management featuring regular, virtual, mini-events starring top CLOs and learning and talent leaders. In response to the incredible reception of 2022, we are pleased to continue this format this year.

Each mini-event lasts about two hours and consists of a 60-minute panel discussion with L&D and talent practitioners, a 20-minute FASTtalk presentation and a 20-minute research segment, garnering real-time data from attendees and prompting discussion of the day’s themes, followed by closing remarks from CLO’s editor-in-chief, Ashley St. John.

But perhaps most importantly, managers have a huge impact on employee engagement, and ultimately can be the major factor in an employee’s decision […]Register
Journey to the Metaverse

April 26, 2023

The metaverse means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Some say it’s the blending of the digital and the real worlds, or the augmentation of experience with a digital layer. For learning, it can allow people to practice (even tasks or roles that are rare, dangerous or expensive) in collaborative […]Register
Driven by Data: Accountability Measures for DEI Outcomes

May 17, 2023

A sustainable diversity, equity and inclusion strategy requires metrics that allow HR and talent professionals to help business leaders understand the current state of DEI within their organization, track its progress and stay accountable to established DEI goals. And yet, the 2021 Gartner Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Functional Benchmarking Survey found less than half of […]Register

Investing in internal talent mobility has been a growing trend, and the benefits are numerous: Efforts in this area can help organizations attract and retain talent, develop more diverse pipelines, fill open roles and bridge critical skill gaps amid the labor shortage. Autonomous career paths or “tracks,” career and leadership development opportunities and growth initiatives, […]Register
Brick by Brick: Building a Coachability Culture

July 26, 2023

Organizational investment in coaching has grown substantially in recent years, with good reason: Businesses need managers who can lead teams through change, stress and economic upheaval. And executive coaching can prepare leaders and leadership teams for transition and growth and help them level up their management skills. However, a growing body of research indicates that […]Register
Tapping Into Untapped Talent

August 30, 2023

2020 research from Accenture and HarvardBusiness School explores the phenomenon of “hidden workers,” or the millions of people who want to work and are actively seeking work, but who remain “hidden” from most businesses that would benefit from hiring them by the very processes those companies use to find talent. The research estimates there are more than […]Register

Differentiated Development: Rethinking Inclusion in Learning

October 26, 2023

We often think too small when it comes to our development offerings. We think, as leaders, we are the ones best positioned to choose the people who have the potential to become great leaders. But many of the traditional methodologies used to select leaders are very subjective.  In an increasingly diverse environment, leadership looks different […]Register
The Modern Leadership Toolkit: Empathy With Accountability

A Marathon, Not a Sprint: Examining the DEI Journey

February 16, 2023

Over the past several years, particularly in North America, there has been a more widespread awakening to the many inequities and inequalities present in all areas of society, including our workplaces. Collaboration Equity in a Hybrid World

February 28, 2023

Collaboration looks different for every organization, and it looks different overall than it did three years ago, as many more companies are implementing permanent hybrid work models. While the flexibility of hybrid work can be a great benefit, it complicates how we collaborate, communicate and contribute in the workplace. In 2020, Google coined the term […]Watch Now
