Tara Cooper has over 20 years of experience addressing issues of equity, diversity and inclusion. She has worked collaboratively with organizations to build skills, strategies and capacity to advance and sustain equity and inclusion at every level of the organization. In coaching leaders, the focus is cultural awareness and growth mindset, personal leadership practice, resource alignment, policy and community engagement. Through equity audits, strategic planning, coaching and professional development, Cooper creates opportunities for sustainable change — demonstrated in policy and practice, equitable hiring and retention strategies, and diverse community and stakeholder engagement. In addition to her professional experience in advancing equity, she also holds a master’s degree in intercultural communications and is completing her doctorate in adult learning and leadership.
